We are pleased to share an important milestone: an independent review conducted by VDE Renewables has been completed for our Battwoo Multus energy storage systems, based on an assessment of our technical documentation and the processes currently in place.

Conclusion: VDE confirms that Battwoo has established a solid operational and regulatory foundation, with elements considered sufficient and consistent to achieve compliance of our systems (modules and battery packs).

Areas reviewed by VDE and assessed as robust:

  • Battery traceability and identification: origin, serial numbers, and lifecycle data of incoming batteries;
  • Second-life qualification process: standardized diagnostics (SoH, capacity, impedance) and application of pass/fail criteria;
  • EU Battery Regulation compliance: technical documentation (Article 12), risk assessment, and labeling requirements;
  • Safety, CE marking and EMC: risk analysis, insulation and voltage checks, BMS electromagnetic compatibility (EN 50498), and references including IEC 62619;
  • Performance and warranty: documented testing supporting up to 5,000 cycles;
  • Product and process documentation: comprehensive procedures and product documentation, supported by liability insurance coverage.

This review represents an important step in Battwoo's commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and compliant second-life battery energy storage solutions.
